Hi there, please don’t skip anything and read everything carefully to make a shape using your phone. This process involves two simple steps:
- Visiting the Discord Developer Portal to set up a bot application.
- Visiting Shapes Inc. Create Page to connect it and bring it to life.
Step 1: Setting Up a Bot Application

Go to https://discord.com/developers/applications, make sure you’re logged in.\

Click on the Create App button.\

Enter a name for your bot, accept the TOS, and save changes.\

You can add a profile picture for your shape by clicking on the current letters-profile picture, but more importantly, click on the menu icon (three horizontal lines in the upper left corner).\

Go to the Installation tab.\

Select
application.commandsandbotscope for Guild Install, then save changes.\.png)

Open the selection menu again (three lines in the upper left corner).

Go to the Bot tab.\

Scroll down to Intents, enable Message Content and Server Members Intent, and save changes.\

Scroll back up and click on the Reset Token button.\

Enter your 2FA code if prompted.

Copy the token.\

Step 2: Connecting the Bot App to Shapes Inc

Head to https://shapes.inc/create.\

Enter a name and a short backstory for your shape. Ignore other sections for now, you can fill them later.\

Paste the token you just copied into the required field and click the Activate Shape button.\

Your shape has been created -- yes, it was as simple as that. You can:

Edit it further by clicking on the Advanced button.

Invite it to your server by clicking on the Add to Server button.\
