Is Sample_23_TemplateBlock.php what you are looking for maybe?

I think he is after the same thing as me. He has a single page template. Where he wants to loop say a table in a database. Then build a new document where each page is that template but with the data from a single row of the db table.

I am trying to achieve the same task. As I am trying to build a document that a person can download instead of downloading hundreds of files. The idea is my template is a letter. I have a table full of customers. I build a new file with all the letters for those customers.

However, looking at the code it does not seem possible to combine documents.
