nginx gateway timeout whilst uploading and 500 internal server errors

I have been experiencing a 500 Internal Server Error for this map:

Then, I attempted to re-upload the map to see if that would fix it. It was then that I encountered a 504 Gateway Time-out whilst uploading a large 256x256 map. The file itself was only 81K. I am guessing it is because the server processed the file synchronously and the proxy waited too long for the response from the server. Either way the map processed successfully this time: http://resource.openra.net/maps/18877/
