Thanks for the detailed report. The error Encountered invalidated oauth token for user, failing request comes from the chatgpt-codex provider, which uses OAuth (ChatGPT Plus/Pro/Team sign-in) — not an API key. This typically means your ChatGPT OAuth session token has expired or been revoked.

To resolve:

1. Open Open CoDesign → go to Settings → Providers.
2. Look for the ChatGPT / Codex provider entry.
3. Click Disconnect (or sign out), then Sign in with ChatGPT again.
4. Try generating again.

If the issue persists, please provide:

• Did you sign in with a ChatGPT Plus/Pro/Team subscription or are you using a regular OpenAI API key? (The chatgpt-codex provider is for subscription OAuth.)
• If using API key, try creating a new provider entry with type OpenAI (not ChatGPT) and paste your API key.
• When did you last successfully generate? Has the ChatGPT session possibly expired?

I checked open/issues and found #175 (Gemini-related, not this) and #379 (similar ChatGPT auth failure). That issue suggests re-authentication fixes it.

Relevant code: packages/providers — the chatgpt-codex provider is handled via @mariozechner/pi-ai's openai-codex-responses wire (see pnpm-lock.yaml and apps/desktop/src/main). The OAuth token fetch logic is in pi-ai, not directly in the app source.
