Plate scrap after

After updating the firmware and calibrating the bed, the printer is not lowering the plate when starting a print. It moves from home to the purge line without dropping the Z-axis, causing it to scratch the bed every time

Yes, I confirmed this as well. This is not good behavior. A better approach would be to slightly lower the Z before starting to run the all axis home (G28 gcode), just like the stock firmware does.

Our firmware makes no changes in this regard, so it would have the same behavior as base firmware 1.1.40. Can you visualize your bed mesh and check if it's above the green plane? (At https://visualize.opencentauri.cc/ ). You want it below the green plane.

yes the plate is above the green plate
with the stock firmware I dont have any issue, when I try the plate calibration the OC firmware set some try vary high on the plate

Which official firmware version?

During calibration the firmware, at least on 1.1.40 (base firmware), sets the Z position to 0, then does the calibration procedure. This may have changed in a later firmware, but this is a little hard to find out as Elegoo doesn't provide the source code for any other version than 1.1.40...

So at least for <=1.1.40, it's quite a bad idea to have the plate be above absolute Z0

the stock firmware was 1.1.46
now I try to flash again open firmware and restart the calibration and try again, maybe was an falshing issue and we can close this issue

I try after the flashing back and no issue
but I see that when the printer check the plate with the extruder (after nozzle cleaning) the plate is very far from the head
and the plate go down after return to cleaning area from waiting, if the down set was given before the start of moviment the issue dont show in first try too, m5c
