No way to enter username and password #425

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Back when using Service References, the system would correctly prompt you for a username and password when connecting.
Now, it just doesn't and instead gives a 401 error when trying to connect to a source that requires username and password. Using the raw $metadata doesn't work either.
Describe the solution you'd like
Properly connect and prompt for username and password for services that require authentication.
