Currently, the only way to stream your inputs with VSCView/OBS is to have its windows open and not minimized while you play and capture use a "Capture Window" source. You also have to be running Borderless Fullscreen for it to work.
Ideally, I'd like VSCView to run in background as soon as I boot/run windows, and for it to only appear on my stream/recordings/instant replay, not on Windows itself. For non steam-input, there's this tool that does just that: https://github.com/univrsal/input-overlay
But for those of us who use Steam Input, VSCView is the only way... the downside is that it has to be manually opened, controller selected and tinkered with every time you want to play and eventually record an instant replay with inputs. And you also can't use exclusive fullscreen.
So, the ideal way would be to have it as a plugin. If it's not feasible, having an option for it to open with a transparent background (#20 ), being clickthrough, while also automatically detecting and selecting the controller on the first slot (#41 ) would probably be the next best thing, as it wouldn't be too distracting to auto-start windows with it and have it always on.

Feature Request: VSCView as an OBS plugin/source
Feature Request: VSCView as an OBS plugin/source (or another way for it to be viewable only on stream, not on your screen)

I would like to replace the current render window with a micro-server so you would put a web source in OBS or another tool for URL such as http://localhost:1337/controller. Doing this will allow for full proper transparency support as well as alternate theme systems, such as an HTML+SVG+CSS+JS based theme or a webGL based them. However, this is a big undertaking that will likely take some time to design let alone implement. I may even end up renaming the project by the time I reach that point.
