Approach to menu makes top-level menu items invisible

The menu currently stops access to other top level menu items without an additional click in between to close the menu again - not quite sure what the solution is here, because in general I like the menu approach.

Maybe we need to keep the other menus visible? On top somehow, and show the current selected menu bellow? That's the kinda effect I was after..

Kind of like what happens when you click on the 🍔 menu on the right hand side
