Issue overview

I've been using HAMT simulation within E+. I've noticed that the initial water content in the run period is not what I defined in the IDF. In the example below, the starting water content ratio is below 0.3, the value I defined in the IDF. My guess is that it changed after the warm-up period.

Add Output:Diagnostics, ReportDuringWarmup; to see results for the warmup days. Does this show the initial condition at the start of the first warmup day?

Thanks for your help. Based on the results for warmup days, we can confirm that the initial water content changed. But in our project, we want to have a fixed value in the beginning of the run period.

The only option I can think of is to increase the initial condition so that it hits the desired value on the start of the first day after warmup.

Indeed. There seems to be no way to use EMS for this purpose. So I ended up writing a python code to iteratively tweak the initial water content to hit the target.
