DietPi-Software | Navidrome: Lightweight alternative to Airsonic #5095

Up-and-coming airsonic killer, using less resources; modern GoLang instead of Java. Supports subsonic API! Vote for it with the up button at the post. |

Many thanks for your request. Looks reasonable, as the massive startup delay and memory consumption of the Java runtime is really the reason I'd personally currently never use Subsonic nor Airsonic. |

Great, I'm holding off for the same reason. I'm using the free iSub app on iOS but have heard great things about play:sub (not free). |

I just deployed this and it works excellent following the official install guide https://www.navidrome.org/docs/installation/linux/ I configured everything like this to fit DietPi:
Works great without ffmpeg right out of the box, but you'll need it if you want transcoding. Here's hoping for inclusion in DietPi 7.5 :] |

I updated Navidrome to v0.45.0 using the following procedure:
Everything is working fine, is there any way to streamline this? |

was looking into this as a non-java alt for airsonic (which ive been using for years), then found this thread. I'll try to install manually, but would be great to see this officially supported (assuming it works well for me) and thanks for the instructions @bbsixzz |

Hello MichIng and all the participators of that discussion/ voting. I used some time ago DietPi with Pihole - and thanks to the dev (s), what a wonderful piece of development ;-) Actually I want to use navidrome and found out that there are some who would like to see it be integrated into DietPi. I support this idea, because I am a user coming out of the non-tecnical world/ non-IT world and for me it helps a lot, when good people use their programming knowledge to deploy s. th. what I can use without reading days & nights over weeks ans weeks to get it to work. So - Thanks if it will find iits way into a "quick installation" section into the DietPi system. Daumen hoch!!! Kind regards |

Great suggestion. I hope it's going to be supported as Airsonic-advanced use so much memory and isn't updated anymore... |
