[Bug]: In-App Browser link to sub domain behaves unexpectedly #27435

Describe the bug
When I click a standard HTML anchor link (<a href="...">) that points to a subdomain (e.g., app.domain, help.domain), the MetaMask In-App Browser does not navigate the current tab to that URL and instead just refreshes the page.
On the second click, the page refreshes again and disconnects me from the wallet. Only on the third click am I redirected to the subdomain.
This behavior is inconsistent: about half of the time it works correctly, and the other half it behaves as described above.
