Descriptions currently cut off by size restraints without an option to 'show more' or extend to see all of the description.

Maybe add a button or hover effect to see the rest of the description? Or is it better to encourage people to go to the pods.media site?

Either way, some indication that the rest of the description can be viewed somewhere.
