No data frame is saved when the position data isn't found

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
If there is no position data, the pipeline doesn't save the sorting output. There is no reason not to save this. It is confusing that the data is just missing.

Describe the solution you'd like
Save the sorting output in post sorting when this happens or at least print an error message about this.
