Overstrict client hostname requirements

Was working on getting disfuzz-afl setup on a few boxes and ran into an error where my boxes have a '-' in their hostname, but the client name regular expression doesn't seem to allow this so the client would fail to run any jobs or interact with the server at all. Is this by design?

Not really... I can't think of a reason why a - could be an issue.
