For your knowledge, almost no easy mindmap apps support RTL properly—except for Mindomo, which requires a high paid subscription for full use . This makes your plugin one of the rare free and powerful tools that could fill this gap. By supporting both RTL and LTR, and allowing seamless switching using Ctrl + Shift buttons , MarkMind can become the go-to choice for RTL users worldwide. |

Hi! Thank you for this excellent plugin. MarkMind is one of the most powerful mindmap tools in Obsidian.
I’d like to request a feature that would be a major improvement for users of Right-to-Left (RTL) languages such as Arabic, Persian, and Urdu:
➡️ Please add an option in the plugin settings to enable RTL direction in node text.
Many users in RTL regions (especially Arabic-speaking countries) are increasingly adopting Obsidian, thanks to growing interest from YouTubers and productivity creators. While Obsidian itself supports RTL in the editor and canvas views, MarkMind currently:
Does not support setting RTL as an option.
Does not allow direction switching using Ctrl + Shift.
Requires workarounds with CSS or CustomJS, which break easily and are not beginner-friendly.
This makes the plugin harder to use for a large and growing user base.
🔧 Suggested Solution:
Add a toggle in settings like: Enable Right-to-Left writing (RTL)
When enabled, new nodes should:
Start with direction: rtl
Align text to the right
Show placeholders like "Sub title" in RTL
