SUPERMAN 5.1.0-rc4 detecting Background Security Improvements update #366

Description

Apple’s new Background Security Improvement updates are not supported with SUPERMAN 5.0, but after upgrading to SUPERMAN 5.1.0-rc4, we confirmed that it correctly detects the Background Security Improvement update. However, After reaching the maximum number of deferrals, the system prompted for a password. After entering the password and clicking Restart, the SUPERMAN window closes and relaunches in about a minute, prompting for the password again. Re-enter the password and click Restart, and the process will proceed as expected.

Reporting this pre-release 5.1.0-rc4 bug to be resolved before production v5.1 release.

In certain cases, SUPERMAN 5.1.0-rc4 detects the update but does not enforce it because the update has not yet been downloaded. “The target macOS minor update has not automatically downloaded to the system because it’s being delayed by Apple’s incremental mechanism, trying again in 120 minutes.”
