Get and install the plugin "cxc_templates":http://cxc-templates.googlecode.com/files/cxc_templates_v0.1.0.txt in the Textpattern admin area

Activate the cxc_templates plugin in your admin area (click on the _no_ to set it to _yes_)

Create two directories in your web root to allow cxc_templates to work properly (/tmp should have chmod 777):

<public_root>/tpl
<public_root>/textpattern/tmp

upload the extracted yoko folder to the tpl folder you created

Import the theme using the extension tab (go to Extensions-->Templates and select yoko from the drop-down list)

navigate between the main menu entries "Presentation, Admin, and Content" to make sure there are no error messages. There may be some on the first click.

Adjust all TXP Preferences to your liking

* Site name and slogan
* Production Status
* Timezone
* Comments
* (Archive) Date Format
* Logging

Set the following preferences as defined here
Basic:

* Permanent Link mode to _/id/title_
* Automatically append comments to articles to _no_
* Present comments as numbered list to _no_

Advanced:

* set your Twitter user name (_arc_twitter_user_) if you wish to tweet new articles automatically
* Enter the name _meta_description_ for one of the custom fields.


Configure smd_bio (bio config) in the Extensions tab:

* Add a field of type text area with the name _author_bio_
* Add a field of type image with the name _author_image_

Configure tru_tags in the Extensions tab:

* Set "Append the tag list to the body of RSS/Atom feeds..." to _yes_

Set up lam_image_uploader in the Extensions tab:

* Install it by simply navigating to the page and select _install_

Adjust theme variables if desired:

* Navigate to Presentation-->Yoko Variables
* Adjust all values to your liking. If you do not have a profile with any of the social services listed, simply remove all content from the field to avoid display.
