## 1. Grant of Rights

The Licensor grants you the right to:

- View, study, and modify the Licensed Work’s source code.
- Use it for **non-commercial purposes**, including research, personal projects, or internal evaluation.
- Self-host the software for **internal organizational use** only (not to provide it as a paid or public service).

## 2. Limitations

You **may not**:

- Offer the Licensed Work, or any modified version, as a **paid or hosted service**, API, or product to third parties.
- Integrate it into any **commercial offering** without a separate written commercial license from Lumen Platforms Inc.
- Remove or obscure any copyright, license, or attribution notices contained within the source code or documentation.

## 3. Commercial Use Exception

Commercial entities wishing to:

- Integrate the Licensed Work into a for-profit product or service, or
- Provide the Licensed Work as part of a hosted, managed, or API-based platform

must obtain a **Commercial License** from Lumen Platforms Inc.

## 4. Change License

On the **Change Date** (three years from the License Date), this license automatically converts to the **Apache License, Version 2.0**, unless Lumen Platforms Inc. publishes a different notice.

This ensures long-term openness while protecting the initial commercialization phase.

All copies or substantial portions of the Licensed Work must retain the following notice:

> “Portions of this software © Lumen Platforms Inc. — Licensed under the Lumen Platforms Business Source License 1.1 (see LICENSE).”

THE LICENSED WORK IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,  
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,  
AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM,  
DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM,  
OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE LICENSED WORK OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE LICENSED WORK.
