When the angle to target is above 90 degrees, set a virtual target that causes the missile to turn within the desired domain (air/sea). Otherwise an airborn missile that's close to 180 away from its target may decide to aim for that point by rotating downwards, dunking itself, when it could have turned perpendicular to the horizon.
