Feature Request: Display Salah Prohibited Times

Feature Request:
Currently, the app shows the daily salah timings. I propose adding a section that also displays the prohibited times for salah (i.e., times when prayer is not allowed: at sunrise, at zenith, and at sunset).

Benefits:

• Helps users avoid praying during prohibited times.
• Makes the app more comprehensive for daily prayer planning.
• Aligns with traditional Islamic practices for salah.

I think this will be a nice addition, and as you said, it will make the app more comprehensive.

Actually, I'm concerned about two things:

• How to display this information?

  I will need to find a clever way to display the prohibited time ranges in the UI. If you have ideas, don't hesitate to share them.

• What about less prohibited times?

  There are three primary prohibited times:

  • From the start of sunrise until about 15 minutes after Shuruq.
  • At noon, until the sun inclines to the west. About 10 minutes before Dhuhr.
  • When the sun turns yellow until it disappears. About 15-20 minutes before Maghrib.

  In addition to these times, there are two less prohibited times:

  • After Fajr until the start of sunrise.
  • After Asr until the sun turns yellow.

  Those two last times cannot be measured, so how should they be represented?

How to display this information?

I was thinking of keeping the UI simple but informative:

• Real-time status indicator (default view):
  The widget could dynamically reflect the current state:

  • If it’s a prohibited time → show a red indicator/banner with something like “Prohibited”
  • Otherwise, continue showing normal salah info

• Collapsible “Prohibited Times” section:
  The widget could include an expandable section listing:

  • Sunrise prohibition (start → +15 min)
  • Zenith (~10 min before Dhuhr)
  • Sunset (~15–20 min before Maghrib)

This keeps things clean by default while still making the info accessible.

What about less prohibited times?

Since these aren’t precisely measurable, I suggest treating them as soft warnings instead of strict time blocks:

• After Fajr until sunrise → discouraged
• After Asr until near Maghrib → discouraged

Rather than exact timings, we can present them as guidance ranges or approximate them visually.
We can anchor them around other Salah times.

Proposed color guide

To make everything intuitive at a glance (since it's way easier to follow it this way):

• 🟢 Green (Allowed)
  Normal prayer times, no restrictions

• 🔴 Red (Strictly Prohibited)

  • During sunrise
  • Around zenith (before Dhuhr)
  • During sunset

• 🟡 Yellow/Orange (Discouraged)

  • After Fajr until sunrise
  • After Asr until close to Maghrib

• ⚪ Neutral/Grey (Inactive or informational)
  Used for labels, upcoming times, or collapsed sections

This way, users can instantly understand the ruling without needing to read details.

On further thought, if you think it makes sense, we could keep the less prohibited times out of scope for the next PR.

Since they aren’t precisely measurable and may vary in interpretation, it might be better to:

• First implement the clearly defined prohibited times (sunrise, zenith, sunset)
• Ensure the UI and logic for those are solid and reliable
• Then consider adding the discouraged times later with a well-thought-out approach

This way, we deliver a clear and accurate feature first, and avoid introducing approximations that might confuse users.
