The user can enter whatever they like into the field. If no file extension is provided it will be saved as ZIP. However I can specify any other file extension and it will be used while the result is technically still a ZIP file if I observed it correctly.

Suggestion: always append a .zip at the end of the filename if it is not already there.

Append .zip if not already specified in the filename.
