After Steam Deck update to 6.6.1 can't store API key in keychain

Updating the Steam Deck software from 6.6.1 wiped out the API key from the settings. So I got the key again and pasted it, but get an error message: "A keychain cannot be found to store "com.jk.weather."" with options to cancel or reset to defaults, the latter of which would wipe out my keychains, which I do not want.

I am on an M2 Mac Studio running Sonoma 14.5 and I have several active keychains: login, iCloud, system, and system roots.

I have tried deleting the button from the deck and reinstalling it, but that didn't work.
