What happened?
I’ve created a custom theme based on emodipt-extend and added a segment to display the OS symbol alongside user@host. It works fine on most environments, including (but not limited to) Windows, macOS and multiple Linux distros...
However, on my OPNsense box (FreeBSD-based), the OS symbol doesn’t render correctly: it shows “freebsd” as text instead of the icon.
macOS (working):
OPNsense (not working):
I tried adding a freebsd symbol to the OS segment in my theme:
Despite this, it still displays “freebsd” as plain text. The FreeBSD icon works in my terminal with a proper font (e.g., “M+1Code Nerd Font Mono”), so I assume the issue might be within the oh-my-posh binary.
Am I missing something, or is this behaviour expected? I understand FreeBSD might not be a common target OS, but other than this small issue oh-my-posh works just fine... 👌🏽
Thanks in advance,
Rogério
