That document is out-of-date, but not worth fixing to reflect the current master branch setup, since the nhb-pcap-ethernet changes the way the network implementation is selected. But this document should get updated in that branch. Not sure if I can get to it soon though. Compile on the nhb-pca--ethernet branch with `./makeright x NETWORK=NETHUB" (after the appropriate cleans). init does NOT require the network. sdl can use the network. Then the --nh-whatever options work as they used to. |

I believe that the old jnetpcap code doesn’t work anywhere but windows. The guy who wrote the old version that dodo depends on wasn’t interested in helping with old code and the dodo guy wasn’t interested in porting to the new api for new jnetpcap. |
|
I see, that looks like a showstopper. |

On my todo list is to gateway raw XNS packets in/out of dodo. I already have pcap code to handle xns pup host requests so extending it to a full gateway should be pretty easy. |

The issue is reproducible. |

A first problem is that the variable INTERPRESSFONTDIRECTORIES isn't initialized properly, I see it as {DSK} instead of (currently) {MEDLEY}/fonts/ipfonts. The entry is missing from MEDLEY-INIT-VARS, so it can't find any Interpress font metrics.
But after fixing that, I get a stack overflow in the fontcreate. So there is more to do just to create an Interpress file, let alone send it to a dodo printer.
In your example, did you just use the Hardcopy menu item on the Tedit window to specify that you wanted an IP file?

Actually, on the font directory, the problem wasn't in MEDLEYDIR, it was a bogus entry for SYSTEMINITVARS in INTERPRESS that was wiping out the intended setting.

Yes, I did use the hardcopy menu item of TEdit: |
|
That's the way it is supposed to work, once the fonts are resolved. But there was never a testing path for this, so we may discover some other issues.
I think the font stack overflow is a mixup between old interpress metric files and medleyfont files, which I didn't bother to create.

It needs exports.all loaded and I think what I see is no socket at destination messages. |
|
I get the error also with EXPORTS.ALL loaded. To run FINGER I used to load SYSEDIT, doesn't that load EXPORTS.ALL too? |
|
Ah, it's not an "exported" constant -- load LLNSDECLS.LCOM |
|
Loading LLNSDECLS.LCOM resolves the issue. |

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
According to the documentation on using Dodo with Maiko:
There doesn't seem to be such a branch in the primary Maiko repo:
The only Dodo-related branch I can find is fgh_nethub-build. Where is the Maiko branch or clone with Dodo support?
