Hi, I am having problems running the app in the IBM Cloud. This is the error:

Error:com.ibm.watson.developer_cloud.service.exception.UnauthorizedException: Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. Tip: Did you set the Endpoint?

It may be due the last changes with authorization.. because it worked fine a few months ago. Now don't.

@jpgarella - can you please provide some more details?

• how are you attempting to deploy the app? locally or via the 'Deploy to IBM Cloud' button?
• was your NLU service provisioned in a region that uses uname/pwd or an apikey?

If possible, please provide your NLU credentials and config.properties file here (use asterisks in place of passwords or apikeys).

I tried to deploy the app via the 'Deploy to IBM Cloud' button. My NLU service was provisioned in "Location: US South".

Credentials:

Since I deployed the app via the 'Deploy to IBM Cloud' button I don't have the config.properties file. But Attached is the message.log from the remote server (via ssh). The Unauthorized Error it is logged there...I filled with XXXXXX the pass/user/modelIs fields..

I also tried to clone the repository and deploy the app locally using the apikey instead of user/pass. It didn't work neither. Same error. Here it is the standard output of the command mvn liberty:run-server in the console: console.log

If I use user/pass instead of apikey in the config.properties the server so not even start. Attached is the standard output of the command mvn liberty:run-server in the console:

PD: My Natural Language Understanding instance name is: sms_nlu_service instead of sms-nlu-service, do you think this can be the reason of the malfunction?

@jpgarella - thanks for the info. I also ran into this issue using the 'Deploy to IBM Cloud' button, but I haven't determined the problem yet. Until then, can you try to run locally?

@jpgarella - please give it another shot using the latest version.

FYI - I was able to install locally, or deploy, if using uname/pwd authentication.

You should also be able to deploy using IAM apikeys, except in some corner cases where mixing the authentication methods (uname/pwd vs IAM apikey) between app and NLU service can cause "access forbidden" errors. I am currently researching this issue.

With the new version I managed to install it locally and it works using user/pass. Also I deployed it in the cloud and worked to. I noticed that the NLU service was change to sms-nlu-service which is a good thing because is the name on the tutorial.
