User cancelled the operation

I'm testing out the sign in with google function, if the user backs out it will throw an exception saying "User cancelled the operation" which is expected, but I'm getting the same exception if the user completes the sign in process, I tested this on my emulator and my physical device.

I am also running into this.

Edit: Reviewing the logs, it was because I hadn't set up an android oauth client id in GCP.
