Have to enter release notes multiple times if the script fails

Had the script fail a couple of times for the build phase, every time I had to re-enter the release notes.
It's probably due to the sequence of commands used in the invocation, but the docs should make it more evident.
Could be a good idea to check everything is in place before starting the build.
