Affected app version

1.2.1

Affected Android/Custom ROM version

Android 15 / OxygenOS 15.0

Affected device model

OnePlus 13

How did you install the app?

F-Droid / IzzyOnDroid

Steps to reproduce the bug

I have the following in 'Included folders':

  • /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera
  • /storage/emulated/0/Pictures
  • /storage/emulated/0/gallery

If I create a directory under 'gallery' called 'foo' that contains 0 photos, but the subdirectory of 'bar' does have photos in it, the 'bar' directory will show on the main screen even though it should just be nested under 'gallery' --> 'foo' --> 'bar'.

The nesting stems from the setting under 'Change view type' --> 'list' --> 'Group direct subfolders'.

Expected behavior

The 'bar' directory should not show on the main screen, but should only be nested under its parent directory or directories.

Actual behavior

The 'bar' directory shows on the main screen as well as nested under its parent directories.

Any time I think I've searched through open bugs thoroughly, I find that I have not. I should have searched for 'nested'. I apologise for the duplicate.
