Swiping between recent photos from Camera App

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Set camera app to open Fossify Gallery
2. Open Gallery from Camera app

Expected behavior

Can swipe between recent pictures, enter gallery view

Actual behavior

Am locked to the most recent picture, swiping up left and right do nothing, only swiping down returns to camera

Do you have a custom ROM?

I do not, only the default preinstalled OS

Do you have the same problem with other gallery apps, especially not preinstalled with your OS?

Just tried it with https://github.com/IacobIonut01/Gallery, I get the same problem, I gather it's an OS issue then? (sorry for wasting your time)

You may try granting 'All files access' to the app, it may solve your problem if the files aren't there in the MediaStore.

I've given it 'all files access' and have everything up to date, I still get the issue

It's definitely an OS issue then, I'm closing this until proven otherwise.

Just a thought: Have you tried any longer? On my (otherwise fast) devices, Fossify Gallery, when opened from the camera, often takes 10 to 20s before the picture gets swipable.

You could try again after letting it sit for 30 s, or even keep on swiping (horizontally) for 30 s - sounds hilarious but might help to narrow-down the issue.
