when used in scripted environment, it can be useful to check programmatically that the installation is successful. I understand it cannot be achieved automatically through browser, and thus the installation cannot be entirely checked.
However, it could be useful to at least ensure the local CA has been successfully added to the local store by

• issuing a certificate signed by the CA
• asking the system lib ssl to check the certificate.

A command like mkcert -check returning a message AND corresponding status code could be useful to automate this process
