In order to control or be control through virtual serial ttygs0, add hamlib to a buildroot package.

Or go even one step further and implement ICOM like API for their Ethernet controlled devices...
Then by using for example wfview software you could get ICOM like radio controlled remotely... including waterfall.

That would most probably become most commonly used setup to build cheap remote VHF+ stations...
