Any keyboard shortcut combination for Global Shortcuts throws "Invalid shortcut combination" error

Bug Description

Bug:

In the Global Shortcuts settings, whenever i try to define a new shortcut for any of the functions, it always throws "Invalid shortcut combination" error (it doesn't if it even is a combination of keys), even when i try to use the ones that were already defined by default. This has happened to me both on windows and mac.

Expected behavior:

Just being able to set your own shortcuts, and additionally not be limited in what these are.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to settings
2. Global Shortcuts
3. Try any new shortcut

The keyboard shortcut entry UI/UX is finicky and could be improved. However it is possible to enter global shortcuts.

I can reproduce the "Invalid shortcut combination" error if I enter the shortcut "slowly." By "slowly" I mean: hold down a modifier key like ctrl and delay hitting any other key.

Thankfully, after the global shortcuts are registered, the shortcut detection is much more forgiving.

There are two workarounds:

1. Enter the shortcut "quickly." I suggest planning what keys you have to hit in your head beforehand, and placing your fingers over the keys in advance. (I think you have a total of 100 or 200ms from the time the first keydown is registered.)
2. Manually enter the keyboard shortcut. ("Edit manually" button)
