but as far as I understand just temporary:

All action sensors are now disabled by default (sensor.*_action entities). It's recommended to use the MQTT device trigger instead. In case you really need the action sensors, add the following to your [Zigbee2MQTT] configuration.yaml.

Hi there,
I am also using this blueprint with IKEA E2001/E2002 STYRBAR Remote control
After Zigbee2MQTT 2.0 update the button does not control the LED stripe as it did last few years

To above said > isn´t reason for this Blueprint to avoid such manual yaml configuration like described (and recommanded) via device trigger?

I am still waiting if there is any other solution for this?
Or any tested configuration which will make the blueprint working as before?

Maybe @EPMatt could provide some feedback?

I know. I am the one who contributed to that fork to update the controllers (ikea and sonoff) to add support for z2m 2.x :)

I know it is a fork. I just wanted to mention that for my setup all is working with yaml from 2024-12-07, but is not working with your latest (the one from December contains ZIGBEE2MQTT V2, but the current one does not)

We are working to merge the repositories,
All blueprints have been updated to work with zigbee2mqtt version 2.x as well as old zigbee2mqtt 1.x
Testing will be needed of course.

Ive updated all blueprints in my fork yarafie/awesome-ha-blueprints to work with z2m 2.0.0 MQTT triggers
This is a breaking change as the old legacy entity triggers have been removed from the blueprints so if you download the controllers or hook blueprints again you will have to redo your automations.

These are also untested so use with caution.

Just also waiting for EPMatt so I can start merging into his repo.

I am using a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus - ZBDongle-E with this firmware

Hm, I just changed the firmware four days ago to go from ezsp to ember. I chose this file because I read to get the ncp-uart-hw- file for the “Sonoff ZBDongle-E”, this was the latest in version 7, and the youtube example used 115200 as well (but I don't know why), however, I don't really know what I'm doing...

I'm not 100% sure it worked well with Home Assistant 2024.x and the ember protocol.

As a test I have a Sonoff SNZB-01 Wireless switch, a button with single press, double press and long press. I grouped all my lights and the control outlet in one zigbee group and made an automation that they're all turned on with a single press and turned off with a double press. That works. No errors.

I suggest you check on both the silabs and the zigbee2mqtt forums, I seem to recall reading something about a similar issue on one of these.

How do you havs the Dongle connected? I hope with a USB Cable with the dongle far from the system

Indeed with a USB cable, though not really far from the system (HA on a Raspberry Pi, with an SSD on the USB2 port) and the WiFi router. I did change the Zigbee channel to 25 and set up the WiFi 'elsewhere' according to

Now for another test --> Ikea Styrbar remote for a single Ikea light: works fine!

With your blueprint I setup a third Ikea Styrbar (E2001 RVS, firmware 2.4.16) which is used with a single light (Zigbee Model TRADFRIbulbE27WSglobeopal1055lm, firmware 1.0.012). I filled in the three required parts: integration Zigbee2MQTT, Controller Device (styrbar) and the Helper - Last Controller Event.

The only optional setting is the "Up button short press": Light toggle on the device Ikea light bulb, just like I used to have in v1 and as expected.

This works nicely:

• up turns the light on
• down turn the light off
• left or right changes the kind of white
• long down/up decreases/increases the brightness

even when the buttons are used quickly after one another.

Not even a warning, let alone an error, in the Zigbee2MQTT logs. It just works like it used to work before v2!

What do you suggest to test next?

My problem with the Failed to send with status=BUSY errors and randomly unresponsive lights were solved by updating the Sonoff dongle firmware from version 7.4.5.0 to 8.0.2 (details).
