[BUG] buddy matching isn't working

Description

Usually if the server is on properly, searching with two users doesn't take less than 10 seconds, but it's taking up to a minute

Steps to Reproduce

• open up two browsers (one can be main and the other incognito)
• login with both (anonymously to save time)
• start a chat
