So, BSNES HD is giving me a hard time with Mario RPG and no other game. It seems create these weird bars on the right and left side of the screen. As if its rendering extra stuff or something. When I move these bars get refreshed and updated with new stuff.

This does not occur with the regular version of BSNES, only the HD flavor.

I have tweaked every option on and off and for the life of me I cannot pin the offending feature. I'm not able to figure it out.

I'm using the latest version of BSNES HD, tried to google it but haven't found anything.

Anyone have any ideas?

Setting "Ignore window"/"WideScreen Ignore Window" to "none" seems to solve the issue. (I need to work on more automation for the default value there)

Dang, I could have sworn that I tried that and it didn't work. But I just tried it... and by golly... it worked perfectly. The issue is gone.

Thanks much!

So, after applying the suggested fix the game was fine. But the next time I opened BSNES HD and loaded my rom, the issue returned and offending options were still turned off. I quickly toggled them off and on and it disappeared again. But it comes back the next time again.

Settings not being saved/loaded correctly has been reported by multiple people. I may have the solution for this, but I'm not sure. I will definitively try to have this solved in the next beta.
What is your OS/environment? And would you try a development build with the potential fix to verify that is solves that issue?

I would be more than happy to test anything you got. I'm using Win10. Thanks!
