Question: Can I sort my library like this in DeaDBeeF?

I'd like to organize my library in DeaDBeeF like this, but I'm not sure if it's possible or how to do it.

I'd also like to figure out how to group 2+ disc albums together and have the tracks in order by disc.

Have you already tested the Media Library Widget? It offers a similar view to the one shown in the screenshot. Alternatively, you can sort the playlist in a similar way, but here entire albums are always displayed with all songs.

I am using the widget, though I'm not sure if I've got the sorting correct. Is it supposed to be pasted to the second line?

My example is for the sorting of the playlist; you can enter it under Edit → Sort by → Custom.

The media library has its own sorting system, which can be accessed via the notepad icon next to Configure, where you can edit or create new presets.

Partially, it does remove the artist bit. But removing separation by disc makes some albums mix together, where track 1 of disc 1 and track 1 of disc 2 are next to each other rather than separate within the playlist. If I sort the playlist by custom (like kpcee said), it works but I have to do that every time I add the affected albums to the playlist.

That's the thing, the media library preset groups the discs together correctly but the tracks themselves get jumbled up in the playlist for some reason. So you have a track from disc 1 and a track from disc 2 beside each other, rather than having disc 1 tracks first and disc 2 tracks below them.

Media library presets don't affect playlists. They're completely separate.

That was what I meant, yeah, and adding the disc part to the third line fixed it. The final thing I need help with is sorting the albums by year, so the earlier albums show at the top and the later ones at the bottom.
