Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, the only accepted format for box art is PNG. Icons can be animated however, which suggests, that box art could be animated as well.

Describe the solution you'd like
It would be great if support for animated box art (which would tie into the 3DS theme really well since it is animated on the 3DS) such as GIFs or BINs could be added.

Additional context
If this is not possible due to limitatons i am unaware of, please close my issue. Thank you.
