Game Information:

Breeding is a big thing for many ark players, however, much of the mating cooldowns, egg hatching and maturation needs to still be hand entered in the ini files through amp. I've developed a panel in the ark template that is specifically for breeding. this makes it easier for others that are not comfortable with ini edits in groups to modify the settings for special events or general setup.

These only work if the settings are already in the ini. How do you propose to deal with existing instances?

Know it's not really the correct answer, but I've had great luck with Beacon. Easy for beginners to use and you can collaborate.

Hmm, I guess my assumption was that if the ini files were updated with the fields as well then when an update happened any new modifications would be added, but i guess that would overwrite any modifications others might have made. So that's a good question. If ark makes a change to the game.ini folder, how does the coding team handle adding those in without mucking up others.

it actually works quite well and have used it before for several things that are typically static. writing the ini files isn't really the challenge for me, it's getting non tech people to feel comfortable enough to go to navigate to that level. In a webpage, they just go there.
