What is stopping us from putting CodeEdit in the App Store and releasing a separate and optional helper package users can install on first launch? This package would enables things that need full disk access, terminal, extensions, etc and other things not permitted in App Store apps. I've seen this done before.
We would still offer a standalone download which includes this helper package, but this could increase visibility in being in the App Store while allowing the functionality we require. Any thoughts around this?
