OS: Windows 10 Home Single Language 64x (10.0, Build 19045)
Printer: EPSON L5290

Issue:
After loading the UI, the printer list doesn't show the printer names as something that can be easily read. If I pick either of the options, it loads for a while until it eventually stops responding.

I was about to mention that I was seeing the same thing whenever I saw the banner come up with the "\?\usb#vid...". It didn't occur to me until just now that the line needed to be clicked on to bring up the Ink Levels panel. Thank you very much! The program cleared the issues with my XP-960. (The line came up with the ,exe and via python, although I finally clicked on the link when I was in python.)

I had the same issue...

first select the line, then click to open the panel.

.exe worked as advertised.

Thanks so much for making this available and open....feels good to save a printer and not have to buy sketchy codes to unlock my printer!

Indeed the names aren't very friendly yet since I haven't implemented something to query the Windows API for their corresponding print queue yet.

I've only tested the tool with the official driver installed for all the printer models I have access to, so I wouldn't know just yet how it behaves when a printer's driver is not installed. I've had the app lock up in scenarios where some other app or part of the official driver was "using" the printer at the same time. You can try closing/disabling Epson's status monitor if you have that enabled.

I'll try to see if I can get this reproducible on my hardware too.

Same issue here on Windows 11 Pro, with my ET-5170. Once I select the first line, the app becomes unresponsive.
