concerning the SSL certificate error, there might have be a temporary issue on their server that seems to be solved now. Regarding from eodag import EODataAccessGateway, setup_logging
setup_logging(3)
dag = EODataAccessGateway()
results = dag. search(
provider="usgs",
collection="LANDSAT_C2L1",
id="LC08_L1TP_119028_20250415_20250424_02_T1"
)
path = results[0].download()If you still have an issue, could you please tell me the version of EODAG you are using, and post the logs you get (with maximum logging, e.g. with |

Hi,
I need to download original Landsat 8/9 Collection 2 Level-1 products acquired in 2025, including all bands, QA files, and metadata.
Example product:
LC08_L1TP_119028_20250415_20250424_02_T1
My workflow uses EODAG for authentication, the Python usgs package to request download URLs, and custom requests code for file transfers. I am not sure whether this is an EODAG issue or an upstream USGS issue.
On September 11, 2026, I observed:
What is the recommended EODAG workflow for downloading all original files of historical Landsat Level-1 scenes when DDS bundles are unavailable?
Is this a known USGS service issue, or is there another supported provider or endpoint I should use?
I need original Level-1 data, not previews, Level-2 products, or re-exported imagery. I do not want to permanently disable certificate verification.
Thank you for your help!
