Drupal devs are considering dropping support for iis https://www.drupal.org/about/core/blog/rfc-remove-support-for-windows-in-production-in-drupal-11. Our iis usage is extremely low as well and even azure suggests using linux https://github.com/Azure/app-service-linux-docs/blob/master/Runtime_Support/php_support.md#php-8. Would simplify support even though there are significantly more linux flavors
