Author had improper variable names with slashes in them. I edited the variable names in the Variables tab. The changes are not reflected in the template fields. The improper names persist in the template itself and require a second edit.
The improper names show as unknown variables though because the source of truth (the Variables tab) has been changed.
I didn't try testing after changing the names because this template already has other issues. But this could cause problems for authors if they have to remember to edit exactly the same way in two places.
Edits on the template or in the fields within the interview should be reflected in the variables tab and edits in the variables tab should be reflected back into the template and the question fields.
