The USB C connection between tonex one and ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-4.3B board works well, but why doesn't it work with ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-7 board? I installed ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-4.3B Waveshare firmware on the 7-inch board. WiFi and Bluetooth are connected well for both boards. tonex one is not recognized. The tonex one power is supplied well. |

Hi. The 7" model is not an officially supported platform. You may have issues with serial Midi and footswitches, as there are some differences in the PCB compated to the 4.3B.

In the code I have support for a platform I call "43DEVONLY" which I use for the 4.3 (not B) model. This model is very close to the 7". So it's possible to get serial Midi going, via the "Sensor AD" connector as I do for the 4.3. I don't have documentation for that but I can share some photos. It was very easy. The directly wired footswitches however the 7" can't support. It doesn't have the GPIO connector like the 4.3B. I don't normally release builds for the 43DevOnly, but I can start doing so, which you could use here. I have thought about adding support for the 4,3 and 7", but the need to remove the resistor will be too hard for some people, so I am trying to keep it simple by supporting the 4.3B only. |

You could use the SX1509 expander however, that is supported, and can give up to 16 footswitches.
