Description
Bruce's microphone feature on a Cardputer makes for a surprisingly decent pocket audio recorder. The included mic is obviously very quiet and directional, and the audio jack is output only. However, being able to change which pin Bruce listens on for the mic would allow connecting external microphones.
In particular I'm hoping I can use my Cardputer as a tiny and relatively low-interference device to record from a shortwave radio, though I'm not sure if Bruce has the capability for analog line-in. Even if not, this would still allow connecting external PCM mics, which I'm sure is useful.
It'd be convenient, especially with the Cardputer-ADV's expansion port, to simply end an audio cable in jumper wires, considering modern phones don't have a headphone jack and need either a bluetooth or USB dongle.
