Displaying Text Above the PNG image stored in LittleFs

hi , thanks for your library that is awesome i tried using ESPI TFT Library and with your examples i tried few examples
i have used sample LITTLE FS PNG and displayed Panda image on 2.8 inch TFT 320*240 ILI9341
i wish to display some Status Like Connecting to WIFI or Connected with WIFI and Some IP Addresses
if i try to display text after displaying panda image with tft.print like commands The Image is there but after specifying curser text size color and all , the text is not shown
pls instruct how to display text above the image displayed
