Ok, I was able to get the backlight working by using the blink sketch. however, I did have to do it through the level shifters. without them the display did not light up. |

I got the display working on the Adafruit_ST7789 library. That means my hardware is woriking fine, Therefore It must be software |

I have a 2.8 inch TFT touch Shield, this one: waveshare.com/wiki/2.8inch_TFT_Touch_Shield#Features. I am not able to connect it to my NodeMCU-32s with a esp-wroom-32 chip. Here is my Code. I am quite sure my conetions are correct. I am also using level shifter between the esp32 and the display. I would greatly appreciate some help.
