Undampened total forecast

I’m not sure whether this is an idea for a feature request, or a Q&A how do I question, so I’ll start off with it being a question.

I have auto-dampening turned on, and BTW it is doing an excellent job of revising my forecast down due to the high grid voltage I’m experiencing that shuts off solar generation through the peak of the day:

I can work out the undampened forecast line (dashed green) from the dampening factors and PV50 forecast, but I would like to know what the total undampened forecast kWh is. I can’t see this is available from the attributes anywhere, once auto-dampening is on all the figures are replaced with their dampened versions.

And yes, my electricity supplier is going to remediate my connection, it’s currently waiting on landowner approvals for the new cable run. UK max voltage is 253V and as you can see I am consistently at 258V. It is amazing that the inverters still manage to produce 40kWh with all the repeated turning off and on again they do.

Roughly SUM(pv_estimate50/dampening_factor)

Which is the area under the green line, as you no doubt know.

You could potentially turn off dampening, reload the integration, grab the data, save it in a sensor, and turn on dampening, reload, in an automation to grab the daily totals.

Into a number helper undampened_forecast_today...

You can build a script that calls the service, sums today's intervals, and stores the result in an input_number.

* `undampened_estimate`: Undampened daily total for the 50th percentile forecast (number, kWh). Available only when automated dampening is enabled.
* `undampened_estimate10`: Undampened daily total for the 10th percentile forecast (number, kWh). Available only when automated dampening is enabled.
* `undampened_estimate90`: Undampened daily total for the 90th percentile forecast (number, kWh). Available only when automated dampening is enabled.

As the README.md mods sez, it's only available when auto-dampen is a thing.

The forecast data comes back in the 'data' structure not 'forecast' so the script was always returning 0.

This is depressing though, I can now see that my undampened forecast is 79kWh for today. I had been relatively oblivious to the size of the actual (grid high voltage) dampening, only seeing the 27kWh forecast and 33kWh achieved so far today. 😬
