So here's a bit of an idea. Since all game logs will be going to disk ANYWAY, why not check in each move? This would allow people interested in following the game to simply "checkout" the game at any time, and get the current status of the game at that moment, for analysis or whatever. Git is actually pretty slick for this use case, because it's distributed nature means it handles this pretty easily. A ton of check-ins won't affect the main Github repo, because there will only be a push at the end of a game/tourney.
