Hi,

I just tried OxiCloud and It seems really interesting !

I’d be interested in contributing in my free time. I was wondering whether you would be open to using a UI framework like Vue.js for the frontend? My interest is to learn and improve my skils in rust + vue.js.

Hey @adriy-be — good timing, I've had similar thoughts.
The vanilla JS setup holds up okay at small scale, but the cracks are showing. The actions bar is built by assembling raw innerHTML strings, every state change needs manual DOM queries and explicit re-renders.
The file manager is also exactly the kind of UI where reactivity pays for itself — upload progress, multi-select, real-time search, drag-and-drop. Right now all of that is fighting the DOM by hand.
VueJS has a no-build CDN mode via ES module import, so you can adopt it incrementally without touching the build pipeline on day one. Composition API also maps pretty naturally onto the existing module structure (search.js, filesView.js, etc.).
Would love to see someone take this on. +1 from me.

According to the release notes, the frontend is now using SvelteKit (Svelte 5) since v0.8.0 🎉
